Just checked with Mike of BAR Tuning...
It seems Zev was finally able to come through with the part he promised to Mike on my behalf.
Better really, really, really late after several calls, emails, and posts than never!
Thanks, Zev.
Sorry, Mike.

You know what, Brian? I know you, and I think i'm 100% right when I say...
...you'd be raising your eyebrows and making the similar, (quite justified), comments had you experienced what I have, with Avalon. I was reluctant to say a word because I've had some rather good experience with Zev, too. However, he wouldn't raise a finger until I made things public. Even then, he'd say "e-mail me" or "call me", which I did... and was ignored further.
Anyway... as of this morning, everything is finished, and everybody is satisfied. Like I said, better late than never. I understand the challenges of small business, but I also know that the key to success is doing what you say you will, on time, every time, even if it means going out of your way.
The bottom line? If he can't make very much money on a situation, it's not important unless it starts COSTING him. Funny though... he was quite glad to accept my accolades and thanks here, in advance of him doing his part. By not following up, he left a good friend of mine thinking I had dropped the ball on him, and I don't do that, even if I have to go out of pocket to make sure my word is good.

I wasn't looking for, nor receiving a freebie. I was arranging to have a part when I needed it...
Mike had one that was part of a set.
Zev had some singles on order. (Remember when the driver-side K04 inlent plumbing was unobtanium?)
Mike shipped me the piece from his kit. (At the time, it was the only one in country, as far as I know.)
Zev took my payment information and was supposed to ship the replacement part to Mike when it came in.
Zev didn't do it, even though it was his idea.
Mike asked me about it a few times, and each time, I asked Zev about it. I never got a response until I finally posted here.
As a result, Mike, (who is an installer, not a dealer), was left for months with a partial kit that he couldn't really sell.
