Oil analysis update on Bar's Leaks success.

Just about a year ago I opted to try Bar's Leaks instead of continuing to throw a lot of money into replacing things that weren't stopping a coolant leak into the engine's oil. Despite words of admonishment from well meaning, but ultimately uninformed forum members, I went ahead with trying the stuff anyways.
The coolant leak was stopped immediately, and to this day my coolant level is the same as when the Bar's Leaks was added. The true measure is the oil analysis, which has improved with every oil change. On the bottom of the oil analysis I've included the sodium level per mile driven, which was resulting from the coolant contamination.
Impressively, immediately after adding the Bar's Leaks the amount of sodium dropped by an order of magnitude, from 0.39 to 0.039, and has continued to decline, to the point where it's around the universal averages for this motor.
To date I've experienced no problems with coolant temperature levels, or components seizing up as a result of using the product, and even if something were to occur, the cost relative to what I was previously facing would likely be acceptable.
For anyone who's had the same problem, I hope you've taken the time to file a complaint about this with the NHTSA (see link below to my discussion of doing this) because the problem will never get attention if you only complain to this forum.

Coolant leak complaint

I had a similar success. I noticed that adding seafoam to the oil before an oil change seemed
to help clear out the contamination a little quicker. I owe you thanks for the idea of trying this quick fix leak stopper that so many are skeptical of (probably for a good reason). Congrats on an almost-healthy car! =)

Excellent Jeff!!
If was in a different situation when I discovered the leak I would have gone your route for sure.
I am at the same miles as you and this oil change is going out for analysis...
Glad it worked as good as it did!!

that's awesome Jeff !
my coolant still dropped about 1/2" (on the bottle) in the last 3-4 months.. which is not too bad ..
i'll be sending in for an analysis soon (in 2-2.5k miles), we'll see what that comes up with.
