Oil Filter
Question for you all. Do you guys use oil filters other than the Audi OEM filter. The dealer told me to only use them because they have a pressure sensor in them but that to me sounds very unlikely. Sounds like the old Kanewter valve story to me. Anyway, I'm wanting to change my oil and I'd just like to know if I really do have to use the OEM filter or not.

The special "pressure sensor" is the spring that holds the filter's bypass valve shut. --->
I don't know what's so special about it, but though the filters look/fit the same for my A6 and S4, they have a special part number for the S4. I haven't compared prices. If unsure, I usually stick to the OEM part because of warranty.
