I changed the oil on my S4 today for the first time. My dealer gave me an Audi Oil Filter Part # 078 115 561D. This filter is much longer than the original. It fits the threads and has enough room to fit. The dealer rechecked his #s and that what he finds. This does increase the oil requirement from 6.3 to 7 qts to fill.
Anyone else using this filter, or is there another part # ?

I replaced it with the same 561 J filter. However, I asked for it by part number at a VW dealer. Perhaps there has been an updated filter from Audi? Size does matter!

I changed my oil last week and the oil filter I got was the same one that was on the car(short one). It is the same filter that is on the 2.8 a4, the big one was for 1999, they went to the short one for 2000. Mike
