Default Ok, here is my explanation of my catch can setup.

Here is a video to start it off. please excuse my retarded comentary. I was up all night. I am currently resizing, sorting and captioning all the pics i just took and i will add them to this to help give better detail. i dont know why i didnt think of this before. i suck at puting stuff to paper, but i can verbaly explain it very easily.

please right click save as. my janky web host has been getting hit hard from all the drag racing videos......<ul><li><a href="http://www.vlmspec.com/assets/images/s4/MOV01711.MPG">http://www.vlmspec.com/assets/images/s4/MOV01711.MPG</a</li></ul>

Default Yea, me too. I'm not sure the newer PCV folk will need it though, I've had both...

The 2000 would fill up the Y with oil like it was trying to make the worlds smallest slip-n-slide. The 2002 is almost totally dry.

very nice, but tough to see routing. I think it's time for some copycat modding

Default I doubt it's as bad as the 2000. My 2002 has a slight film in spots, the 2000 was bad.

Couldn't hurt to impliment it though. It's real low on my priority list, atm.

Default Pics and text inside......

here is the best i can come up with right now, any questions just ask and i will try to explain anything i was vauge about....

<img src="http://www.vlmspec.com/assets/images/s4/newstuff/enginebay.jpg" border="0">
Just an engine bay shot. you can see the PCV valve facing into the
firewall next to the brake booster line.

<img src="http://www.vlmspec.com/assets/images/s4/newstuff/enginebay2.jpg" border="0">
Another, a little closer and wide angle. I coated my DIY big bore
intake since I had stuff left over from doing my turbos and manifolds, i think
it looks better now
<img src="http://www.vlmspec.com/assets/images/s4/newstuff/enginebay5.jpg" border="0">
now with some covers and pieces removed and from this angle you can see the
can location, the PCV valve to the can line goes through the available grommet (i
used clear tubing there because i ran out of black stuff and havent felt like
spending the money on more since its doing just fine). for the line up to
the PCV valve, it is just a straight shot from the larger port on the spider
assembly. you can also see the rear line and it going through the firewall at
the old A/C passage way, under the intake and to the T fitting spliced into the
EVAP line

<img src="http://www.vlmspec.com/assets/images/s4/newstuff/enginebay4.jpg" border="0">
i dont know what the point of this picture is

<img src="http://www.vlmspec.com/assets/images/s4/newstuff/enginebay3.jpg" border="0">
wide angle overhead shot that i thought would help explain something, sort of
in the same category as the last pic

<img src="http://www.vlmspec.com/assets/images/s4/newstuff/can.jpg" border="0">
close up of the high dollar can. main materials: 8 inches of 3" id
abs pipe, 1 abs pipe cap for the bottom, 1 3" expanding sewercap (used this
incase i ever needed to replace steel wool), 2? 1/2" barbed fittings, 1
5/8" barbed fitting, 6"x3" 1/4" thick abs sheet for the baffle (glued in the
middle with gap at bottom), 2 packs of generic steel wool (stuffed on both sides
of baffle to catch oil and make it stay at the bottom), and the hose and 90s for
the sight tube if you want that.? i made a bracket (aluminum bar slightly
visable) to clamp the can to for easy removal. overall time it took me to make
this thing in my garage one night out of stuff i had laying around was like 30
minutes.
<img src="http://www.vlmspec.com/assets/images/s4/newstuff/can2.jpg" border="0">
you see the brown crap at the bottom, yeah, thats a little water mixed with
oil. i would prefer for it not to be burning in my cylinders at 20 plus
PSI of boost. this home depot ghetto fab works
<img src="http://www.vlmspec.com/assets/images/s4/newstuff/nofhose.jpg" border="0">
my attempt to show the f-hose delete. literally just a new piece of
hose from the check valve on the EVAP line to the manifold port. the other
side of the f-fose contraption goes right to the spider assembly....
<img src="http://www.vlmspec.com/assets/images/s4/newstuff/spiderupclose.jpg" border="0">
as looking at the pic you can see the capped off left side of the spiderhose.
that would normally flow to the f-hose. just some hose, some clamps and a
slug. that combined with the previous step. no more evil bastard
f-hose.... the other side is just some hose that goes right up to the PCV valve
and then to the Can&lt;/p&gt;

<img src="http://www.vlmspec.com/assets/images/s4/newstuff/lines.jpg" border="0">
lines coming out of the can, closest goes through the empty hole that
normally has the weird nipple grommet thing (who knows what that thing is
anyway), around and up to the y-pipe. the back one goes through the a/c hole,
under the intake and to the EVAP line.
<img src="http://www.vlmspec.com/assets/images/s4/newstuff/evapside.jpg" border="0">
EVAP line with the T fitting and line from the can
