Default i'd use some sort of orange spray and a wet/dry vac.

without a wet/dry vac to suck the crap out, you're just moving the sticky stuff deeper into the console.

Default Haha, the same thing happened with a few of mine. Me thinks it was the girlfriend and her coffee...

I wish I had an easy solution...

Besides physical violence, that is.

I tried lots of sprays. Eventually I popped out the buttons, and cleaned inside with Q-tips.

Default Happened to me, orange soda (not mine), but knew I was kfvckd. Succeeded on the third try (m)

Had to take the unit out all three times.

First time tried contact cleaner. You know - the stuff you can buy at Radio Shack. Got better, but still stuck in the winter (when you want to be able to turn the heat on!).

Second time tried R/C electric motor degreaser (son had some for his R/C AWD rig). Great exit velocity from the can, sprayed the $hit out of it - I mean it was just pouring out. Still no work - would stick in the wintertime.

Third time used one of nature's universal solvents - WATER. Warm water does a helluva job on orange soda, much better than a solvent/degreaser. Gave it a bath in a large bucket, emptied it out, another warm bath, and repeated a third time. Took it outside and windmilled it some to get whatever loose water was still inside, then left it out in the sun (July - so lots of heat energy to evaporate the water). Later on brought it inside into the AC just to get any residual humidity out.

Works great now. When it got below freezing here recently, all buttons actuated like new. No sticking.

Link for removing the climate control below. Also, I have the radio removal tools if you need them.

good luck!<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/512854.phtml">... how to remove the climate control</a></li></ul>
