Default No, No, No. I'm going with the GL-4 instead of the 5 for purposes of increased friction, and not

for corrosion. Because, just so everyone reading this in the future understands that the Redline GL-5 is NOT corrosive like some other are, but the MT-90 (GL-4) provides this friction that is apparently more beneficial in our gearboxes. I know I'm being redundant, I'm just lookin out for others who read this and are already confused.

Default Yeah, while STFA's I came across that post of yours.....................

however I'm not trying to make an old tranny shift like new again, I'm just trying to put a good oil in a rebuilt transmission. If you read the original post you'll see that I'm not itching, the box is empty right now and I needed to understand why I was sent a gallon on the GL-5 instead of the GL-4.

Original discussion.....

Default Yes and by running MT-90 you are lacking the EP additives spec'd for your transmission

I hope you realized at some point that GL-4/5 is different from GL-4 and GL-5.

Default Sorry, I missed that post, it explains a lot.

BTW, in my case second gear grind was due to misaligned shifter linkage.
MT90 is good, you should not get wrong with it
