almost got it figured out. But my spider thing-o-ma-jigger has 5 hoses coming out of it. Most only have 4. Plus I can't find out where these hoses go...what a mess. I can't tell where the tube above 27 and 55 goes(part of #26). All the rest I'm good on, I think.

Default Hmmm... I need to do the same thing at some point. Let me know when you solve it.

The Self Study Guide (pdf) shows the connections for our cars (00/01 model years).

Default let me see if i get this straight, it's an allroad manifold and you want to know where the left over

hose goes, not the barb fitting in picture? is that the back of the manifold? i can check on my allroad where the hose goes if i know which 1 you are trying to trace.(if it's an allroad manifold and mine has that setup of course) : )

The manifold pictured is used on the early allroads and A6 2.7Ts as well as the early tiptronic S4s.

Default What DAP said, but I need to know how all the piping is routed. Pics would be great. I may

have to reroute some things. That's why I need to look or see someones car.

Yours probably has the later manifold that was used on the 01.5 S4s and all later allroads and A6s.

Default There are three different manifolds used on the 2.7T engine...

078 133 201 AE
078 133 201 AC
078 133 201 BC

The AE manifold is the original boxy one that is used on the 2000 and early 2001 6-spd S4s. The BC manifold is the later manifold with the smaller plenum and better intake ports and is used on all of the 01.5+ S4s and later A6 and allroads.

The AC manifold is used on the tiptronic 00 S4s and the early allroads and A6 2.7Ts. It has the plenum and runner design of the later BC manifold but vacuum port connections similar to the AE manifold.

So '00 and early '01 S4s who want to upgrade to the newer style manifold should have an easier time using the AC one so that all of the vaccuum ports don't have to be replaced.
