Okay Brakes, increase pedal feel?

So my brakes stop and the fact that ABS can kick in, shows that I'm not going to get much better stopping distance by upgrading my brakes! I will however get brakes that will be prone less to fade etc.etc.
But I would like to firm up my pedal, how would I do this, SS brake lines or? I don't like the feeling of, is this going to stop in time!
Thanks
Tory

firm up pedal feel under moderate to hard braking. This helped my pedal modulation for threshold braking.
The stock binders are pretty good as you have said, just susceptible to fade under repeated heavy braking. The factory fluid may also boil under track conditions.
Fade aside, the limiting factor to stopping distance is tire grip.

...change in brake feel.
Once you get to an opposed piston front caliper, you will really notice how linear brake feel is. All that "delay" in the OEM S4 brakes is flex, some of it is the lines, but most of it is the calipers.
You are more than welcome to drive my car to get an idea of what I am talking about. It is most noticeable driving stock and aftermarket back to back for a bit.
