Okay guys, Coolant and Oil Temp higher then normal under normal driving/crusing issues *Edited*
for the past couple of weeks i have been noticing my coolant temp and oil temp got higher then normal even if i was just crusing on the freeway say doing 70mph, oil would get up to 250 and coolant would go 1/2 a click past center with AC on. And i got scared when i saw that so i turn off AC immediately coolant temp went back down to center point but oil temp still sitting right at 250 mark.
*i have logged with vagcom, crusing on the freeway i normally see 88~92C, once i get off the freeway coolant temp would keep rising...93...95...98...and it would go all the way up to 108c*
So my standard procedure is to call WMS descript the issue to Mike and he wants me to swing by as soon as i could. The first thing he did is to replace both CTS and afterrun sensor and drive for another day to see if it is the same. Unfortunately its still the same so i called again and he booked me in for the past weekend (July 4th weekend). He knows this is my only car and i have to go to work on monday too! he worked on my car on sunday morning and everything was fixed by 4pm Sunday! Mike you are DA MAN! I owe you big time!
all right here is the deal, the whole front clip has to come off, and Mike found out the AUX fan is not working( i was told when AC is on that fan should be on and when the car is getting hot that fan would come on too), thats the fan sitting between the radiator and the motor, its an electric fan. Next, he found out the H2O belt tensioner is fvcked so the h2o pump somewhat slipping that probably cause the coolant not flowing as the rate as it should be.
Anyways, Mike replaced Aux fan, H2O pump, one of the tensioner roller, thermostat on this issue and he also checked radiator and oil cooler to see if there is any clog. Everything said and done and i was ready to leave the shop by 4pm Sunday!
Big props to WMS on customer service and how they would work with customer's schedule! Really really appreciated that he sacficing his weekend to help!
