so, i also had the problem of a faded lcd screen on my odo. after a few 10k miles of driving with it, i decided to buy one.
so, i located a used odo for a 2k0 s4 with the old logo. same part number.
plugged it in and all worked. well, almost all. now my nav does not come up.
i hooked up the vag and the codes are all the same. plugged the old one back in and the nav works fine.
so, is there a trick to getting the nav to show up on the display? a special vag code that needs to be enabled? or is this something only the dealer can do?
