Default Okay, what's the deal?! I had numerous boost spikes of 19psi on the way home!

Even in 6th gear I could see the spike. It would actually stay there for longer than normal and then back down to 17psi. My car normally goes right to 17psi and then backs off to 15psi.

Is this a sign that something is wrong? Do the Forge valves have anything to do with this? It's hotter than hell today so it was just a thought. I have the new aluminum pistons so I don't think it would be them.

Pull over to your nearest charity and donate the car ASAP!

Heat can be a factor, if temps are very high

A bypass valve cannot increase your steady-state boost pressure.

Default 19 psi is 1.3 Bar and 17 psi is 1.1 Bar...sounds like your chip is dealing with the heat

to keep the power level the same

When your engine heats up, I think your chip may be increasing the boost to keep the power level up.. which doesn't make too much sense to me: more power == more heat.

Anyone else see boost spikes like this on hot days?

Hot AIR=less oxygen = more boost, to get the same power...make sense now?

Did you reset the ECU recently? If not, it's just the heat.
