Default What if you don't mind breaking the center peice? Can you just break the sum bitch and put the new

one on without taking the dash apart?

Default yes... I think you could get away without using the clamp beind in that location.

Although you can usually sell your trim, depending on what it is, so I recommend spending the time. Although it is a major PITA... That and you'll probably lose the clamp behind it and who knows where that will end up rattling the rest of the life of the car..
