Default Re: alcantara

I must not have it then.... because these seats are straight black leather.

I do not like alcantara anyway... looks like ultra-suede... and I would imagine it is difficult to keep clean.

Still happy, not sad. No sport, but still smiling. I will make it a "sport" through some insane mods... true sport... not just a "look".

Default Thanks for the info... (more)...

No wonder my car feels so tight... it is supposed to be that way! Just came over from A6 2.7T land... so I am learning...

I think the S4 is superior in every way that I would I care about... very happy with it.

Default Pearl white looks much better without the aluminum trim...

I love the look of your car with the tinted window. I would like to tint my windows, but Vermont has stupid rules on how much you can tint and with which window.

Do the clear-corner mod or E-code headlights next and you will be very happy:

Yes...agreed. You might like the tint,... but I really envy the fact that you do not have to have a front license plate.

Are there no "medical dispensations" in your state to allow for darker than normal tint, & tinted windshield...?

Thanks for the suggested mods...

Your ride looks great by the way... !

Default Dunno about the medical dispensation issue, interesting tip btw. I will check it out...

thanks for the props on my ride. Like minds think alike! I've since upgraded to OEM RS4 bumper and absolutely love it!

I actually got a speeding ticket a couple of weeks ago and the state patrollman noticed that I didn't have a front license plate. It's really not a big problem unless the cop makes a big deal out of it or has a bone to pick with you. He didn't ticket me for it...actually commented on how good the S4 looks with the RS4 bumper and went on his merry way. It's an arbitrary ticket item and gives the cop an excuse to pull you over when he feels like it or when theres a bur up his A$$.

Default Same here... but I don't risk it because...

In Grad. School presently and am getting an M.S. in Criminal Justice... and I cannot afford any headaches... "politics" you know... so I just follow the letter of the law. Scary, huh?

Ft. plates are nasty looking, but what can I do?

Check your state's tint laws... they should be posted... do a google search for "auto tinting laws by state"... in quotes, just as I have written it here. There is a site that has them all... and which states have med. laws etc...
