I heard from somewhere that the driver's seat is heated on both halves of the seat (bottom and back) but the passenger seat is only heated on the bottom part. That seems a little odd, can anyone confirm if it's true? This is on an '01 S4 w/Sport package. I searched and did not find an answer.

That's odd; my MY 2000 only has heat on the bottom of both seats.

both of mine did bottom and back. now my drivers seat only does bottom. i need to get it fixed.

Dealer quoted me $900 to replace the seat heater element. I decided to get a Borla exhaust/Chip :-)

I'm not real familiar with Audi's warranty program, can it be repaired under warranty?

Seeing as to how the service advisor said that the passenger side back wasn't heated in the first place (perhaps just to refuse to do the repair), how would one go about proving it otherwise?
