I have the Phillips Blue Visions and they are much whiter than stock.
<center><img src="http://www.powerbulbs.com/images/sidebulbtypes.jpg"></center><p>Intersting that PGP said the Osrams were better b/c that's where I got my Blue Visions.... I did the same as you and installed one side first to ensure that I wasn't wasting my time. Although I wasn't 'blown-away' by the difference (i.e., they ain't no xenons), the difference was very noticeble. I would put them on a '4' using your scale (1 = stock, 10 = xenon).
