hehe..Seriously, they have to have a sign before the intersection that says "PHOTO ENFORCED"

Yup ... in AZ every intersection that's "photo enforced" has a sign indicating so.

Default Same basic deal in Charlotte -- Sign says "SafeLight"
Also, there are usually two dark green posts just back from the intersection, each with a box on top. One is for the camera and the other is for the flash. I saw a guy run a light once at night and it really lit the intersection up.

ACK! I need to stay away from those areas! Where's the highest use areas? Camelback, Scottsdale?

Default They were supposed to be installed at the "most dangerous" intersections first ...
Places like 24th Street and McDowell. You can get a listing of locations from ADOT's website ... and they're in Tempe, Mesa, Phx, Scottsdale, and Glendale. Might have expanded since I left last fall.

Default Safelight my ***. Most people are so paranoid driving through the intersections...
that they hit the brakes with a vengence, causing people behind them to run into them.
