Default Other than the buzzing are there any symptoms of a failing stock fuel pump

When it goes is it going to go all together.

My car has had a couple major stutters in the last few weeks which seem to happen under specific partial throttle conditions - i am thinking that it may be the fuel pump?

Default Weird...I have the same exact setup as you -LWFW and get the same thing...

However I had a brand new walbro pump installed just a few weeks back. I have yet to replace the fuel filter though.

My next step is to do the fuel filter, air filter and plugs. I think it may be a combination of those things that's causing the hickups.

Default Running MBC only? May be part-throttle "bucking" while under load....

And the bypass-valves are kicking in due to too much charged air coming into the throttle body when it's barely open, hence "bucking" or "cutting in and out"

This is characteristic of not having an N75 valve in parallel with an MBC....

Hope this helps.....

Default Same thing... all fuel pump related?

I hope it's a clogged fuel filter, I'll swap it out this weekend and see how it goes.

Default Well here is some more detail so we can compare>>>

I noticed it happening only when my 4 yo daughter was in the car, and in the same place a few times, which got me thinking.

Basically, it only happens when i have been driving easy and then accelerate moderately, start to lift to shift. It feels like getting fuel cut when hitting the rev limiter.

I am running a crushed 4bar (i know, i know) but have had no problems. I think i need to go to a real 5 bar and a bigger fuel pump.

Default nope. GIAC 3- code right now, but you have given me some food for thought on the BPV.

I have a set of Hyperboost valves sitting in my garage - maybe i should swap them in for fun

Default Let's see then...

well, to the best of my knowledge your daughter has never been in my car, I have the 5bar and the fuel pump and still get this from time to time.

Like I said earlier, I plan on eliminating some more variables, like my minor exhaust leak, old fuel filter, plugs with 14k on them, old air filter and see where that leaves me.
