I think I have an inner CV blown (ticking/clicking when loading the front suspension).
I am 40k miles and a two months out of warranty. Is it worth trying to get AoA to pay up a little? Should I take it to the dealer to get diagnosed, or can I take it to my local private shop and try and get reimbursed?
I fear, since the dealer will probably charge much more than the other guys to fix, and there definitely will be a diagnosis fee -- they might have to take **** apart to find out what is up.
thanks.

mileage a little over and time a little over Im sure it would be no problem, but if you are 40K out...thats going to be a little tough

they'll try to screw you out of every dollar they can unless you complain and have them realize that you're not an idiot about your car. go somewhere where itll be a lot cheaper in labor fees, yet somewhere that has worked on a lot of audis before...
