Default Outside Air Temperature Sensor reads high

Mine reads + 8-10 Degrees over real temp, especially when in stop and go traffic.
Does any one else have a similar problem.

When I start the car it is about that high, but after a few minutes it fine.

I think it's in the manual, the heat from the engine can affect it

Default What are you comparing it to?

What are you using as the baseline for what the "real" temp is?

If it's one of those clock/temp signs on banks and such, remember that the air temp on a busy street (especially in stop-and-go traffic) is going to be a few degrees hotter than the ambient air near the temp gauge being used for the bank sign. Asphalt radiates a lot of heat, and all those hot, idling cars warm the near-surface air even more.
