Been searching around and have come up with the list above for pads.
Need a set that has good cold bite for street driving and emergency stops before brakes are warm, as well as DECENT high tempreture tolerance for driving school/tracking.
I did FINE with stock pads on my first session of the season in a colder/rainy day... so my style is not as agressive on brakes, that's why I included Pagid blacks as they must be better than Jurid stocks.
I had Hawk HPS on my GTI and they were scary cold... not sure if it's any better on the S4 HP2 calipers... but lots seem to like it around here, hence including it.
Dust is not as important, but don't like to squeel as much!
Any real-world experience and feedback is welcome!

There seemed to be no bite in the R4S's, although they didn't dust. The HPS have much better bite/stopping power and have been quiet. I put them though a 3 hr canyon run this weekend and they held up very well.
The R4S had 60% left and I threw them in the trash.
The pads that came on my car seemend to be the best and held up very well to a track day, unfortunatley I'm not 100% sure what they were, maybe pagid blue. I think they were between a street and track pad. Whatever they were they kicked ***. But for the $$ Hawk HPS has to be the way to go.

is only with the ECS big brake kit. The pads are quite large. I can't give any input on how these pads would work on the stock brakes.
