I'm spending 2 weeks in europe after july 4th so I'm leaving my car at the shop to have some major work done - springs, downpipes - how good of an upgrade is the AWE clutch system?

But only pressure plate is RS4-specific. The rest is the same as S4. Also check out Achtuning.com. They have better pricing<ul><li><a href="http://achtuning.com/rs4parts.html">achtuning site</a></li></ul>

New combo pricing, too!
If you are looking to maximize engine response, go for the flywheel.
Ultimately, the RS4 clutch kit by itself solves power management issues, and the flywheel is simply icing on the cake.<ul><li><a href="http://www.awe-tuning.com/pages/shared/part_select.cfm?PMaI=1&PMoI=4&PEI=6&PP =s4_27t_drivetrain.cfm&PPT=Drivetrain">AWE Tuning S4 Drivetrain Products</a></li></ul>

The pressure plate is an RS4 only part number.
The clutch disc is an RS4 and S4 shared part number, but for some reason is made of different material than the S4 clutch discs we get here Stateside that have the same part number.
Thus, we import the European clutch disc part number to make sure we are using the exact same part as used in the RS4.
We also use an OEM throw out bearing, which is an RS4 and S4 shared part number, too.
Did that explanation help or hurt?
