Default Passat W8 4Motion

What do all of you think of the w8 engine? I will need a new car in 8 month because the warranty will be gone on my s4 and I don't want to have pay out the a$$ if a turbo goes bad

Default they are discontinuing the w8 half way through this model year.

there will not be a 2005 W8, so either get one in the next couple months or they will be gone.

I hate when my AWOT persona, and S4 persona meet, and trade places too...

Default you should be able to get a GOOD deal

I hear that the W8's have not been good sellers at the US price point. Dealers are trying to get rid of them. Not bad power at all, but I think you're going the wrong way if you want something less expensive to maintain.

Default Take a look at the 2005 Subaru Legacy GT. AWD, better performance,

less expensive, better reliability, and a decent interior. It was named Car of the Year in Japan.

Default I liked it, but word is the engine is as much as a PITA to work on as the 2.7T...

...and the W8 4Motion does not have pass through rear seats and the trunk is quite a bit smaller than what you get with a FWD Passat. The non-sport package W8 Passat is floaty as hell too -- I wouldn't even enjoy driving it.
