AoA discontinued this color, thus, according to my dealer, cannot provide me with any Pearl White paint. Will I have to resort to going to a body shop??

of course. I have some road chips but I'd advise you to just leave them alone as touch-up paint is a nono on tri-stage pearl white cars such as ours. It looks like junk and comes out darker than actual pearl color. You have to use a base coat and then place a pearl coat above to match perfectly and that is just impossible to do on a pearl white car. This is one of the pitfalls of owning pearl white. In anycase road chips barely show up in comparison to other non pearl colors. This is the up of owning pearl because the tri-stage coat helps very much to mask the defects such as swirls, orange peel, and the normal road chips associated with highway driving. If the chips ( If that is your issue ) are in and around the lower grilles then don't worry about it unless they are pretty choppy. If you can't find the right body shop just go online and search for Spies Hecker paints. It is a hard color to match so make sure the match is done with your car in plain view. I had an M3 lip spoiler done 4 times to match !! Hope all goes well
