Tire Rack is notorious for not putting enough rubber in there tire and wheel combos. I bought OZ's and tires from Tire Rack, but went a tire that was one size bigger than recommended to have enough rubber to protect the rim and I haven't had any problems. What size tire and rim are you running?

diameter.
HE hit a pothole. No one but him is responsible for that, not tire rack or OZ. Anyone familiar aftermarket wheels knows that when you bend a wheel hitting a pothole, you are on your own 99% of the time.

I cracked two out of four 18 inch SLs about 5 years ago. The replaced them for me. I have a set of Forgiatas in the garage that are 18x8.5 and 16.6 lbs. Forged, very light, but very strong. So you can have light and strong but it's going to cost you. The Forgiatas cost me $699 each.

OZ SLs in anthracite seemed to have issues with hairline cracks along the spoke of the wheel ... in addition to the normal hazards of the road
