Go with the toy_guy remote install.
Simply the best out there. Just installed in my 02S4. Looks completely OEM.
V1 mounts up next to rear view, driver's side; just under the top tint.

Default i have mine mounted on the passenger side *behind* the rearview mirror

the right side where the rear sensor is located is the only part that is visible from behind.

here's an ascii top-view image:

----| =======> rear sensor
| /
----| / <=== rear view mirror
^ /
V1

cut and paste this ascii image into an editor and change to a mono-spaced font (like courier).
