Default Agree with crew...$3500 is a good starting point.

May go up or down depending on the damage behind the bumper. You've got a better view of that than we do. What's broken?

And how does the city end up paying for this???

Default My guess is poor maintenance of their parking lots? I know there's some requirements depending on

city/state.

Nevertheless those Kumho ASX(perhaps?) don't accelerate or stop very well in snow from my experiences with them.

Default cost me about one bill more than doing stock S4 bumper.......

thats new parts (RS4 bumper shell about $700 compared to S4 bumper $650) Forget the RS4 fogs (thats where it kills you) and the labor to mold and paint the RS4 bumper, which was $500.

Default i got 3 quotes from diff bodyshops........

all estimated between $1200-1400 for stock S4 bumper replacement, a couple misc pieces, and labor and paint. I sourced the RS4 bumper myself...and got a price quote for labor and paint only from a very reputable shop. Works out much better that way...imho

They look like something that wouldn't hook up well in the cold...

Default nah. if you need new grills, fogs, and headlight washers, stock adds up >$1,000 for parts.

at least that was my body shop/insurance company's estimate.

if you're looking at just bumper shell, it looks a lot lower, but if you need all the parts for a complete replacement, they are right about the same . . . of course, the RS4 will need more labor to install properly.
