Default Played with a 335 last night... man those things are pretty strong

Cruising on the FWY home last night I was playing around with the car and doing some logs. Playing with a new file and all. At some point a nice white 335 (think it was a sedan maybe) pulls up and wants to play a bit. So we did a couple upper gear pulls and then lower gear drags.

I have to say that although I was pulling to him when I was behind and away when I was ahead, it was not in any way commanding. I'm pretty happy with the tune on my car, I was running my regular boost setting at 210 (so 18-19.5/20 at WOT) and the car feels strong, but I wasn't decimating him like I thought I would.

All in all I have to say I am really impressed with that car and maybe a little disappointed with mine. Sure I had been doing a couple pulls and might have been a bit heat soaked, I had a ton of crap in the car, blah-blah-blah. But I didn't think a stage 3 would be vulnerable in such a way to the 335. Not sure if he was chipped or not...

Any thoughts/comments?

Heat soak is a big issue. When dynoed with stock IC's we would lose 40-50 whp.

Seems odd as I'm 2+ and spanked one bad a few weeks ago from 50-100.

Still an issue. Heat soak is a b*tch, but fwy speeds should have reduced that some anyway.

Default Are you on 93?? I am on 91 and it hurts... I did pull from him

on all runs, but it wasn't like I thought it would be. We were going 60/70mph or faster... Maybe it wasn't even slower than 70 now that I think about it. Wonder what it would have been like from 50??

Also, he might have been chipped. I've spanked others in the past, just this one hung around.

Default Don't rule out the fact that he could have been reflashed too... Look at the numbers a few post down

Those cars are trapping over 110mph with a reflash which is more than enough to keep up with you.
