Turned off APM, antivirus, still no luck

Unfortunately, my serial port is on a port replicator which has a nic built in. Funny thing is that I got the same error using another laptop with a different configuration.

I'll try on my wife's 98 A6 tonight.

If you're using VAG-COM, some people have reported problems using Win2K

See if you can find a laptop that has Win98, WinME or NT4.<p>- rob
