Thanks. If the USB cable doesn't offer any speed advantage, I'm selling it.

Default hmm, well if the ecu has been reprogrammed to run as something else...

then you may need the "something else" profile. At the end of the day, the data locations are varied between ECU types, and the ECUx profile tells ECUx where to get the data. So, if the whole ecu has been reprogrammed in that the data locations are different, then yeah you need that different profile.

I think

Default hmmm, now I'm wondering which - Oh well, we can figure that out later ;-)

if it reads as an M-box, then that's likely what you need

Default Guess they will just have to try it out and find which profile works. Does ECUx come with profiles

for every ECU? Or is there a place to download the different profiles?

Default Well...

Originally ECUx came with one profile, and you could buy other ones at an additional cost ($19, I think). I'm checking on that detail now as I don't see it mentioned on their site. Maybe as part of the deal, we could all S4 profiles included. I'll let you know...

FYI: The rationale behind the above thought (from what I remember from a while back when this was first introduced) was that this way they could sell it like this (at a lower price point) to the individual enthusiasts, but then also sell it at a higher price point to a Tuning Shop (for instance) with all profiles included.
