Default I'm asking you why you just made the statement above re: "~18% load"

I repeat...that is NOT sotck idle load threshold.

Default On whose car? What setup? Don't be so quick to get all assertive.

FACT: Stock M-box idle threshold is 15.8% (15.75 to be exact) load. I'm looking at it right now.

Default maybe someone else can chime in...

i was under the impression that for stage 3 cars, the idle torque should be around 17-18%

Default To clarify what YOU are saying? I'm asking YOU what car(s) YOU're talking about...

What is there to chime in about? There is no arguing the fact of stock threshold. I have the maps open right in front of me plus tons of personal experience watching VAG-Com.

Default your sig says homebrew.

When I ran homebrew for a year I had no CEL and the idle felt/sounded smooth. A misfire here and there that doesn't trip the CEL is ok in my book.

I had ASP stage 3 code before and after the homebrew. I had the misfire code running ASP before HB. Switched to HB for a year, no misfire codes. Back to ASP code in 2006, misfires CEL came back.

I wish Mark would return my emails/calls.

Default Ongoing with 42#

It hasn't thrown a CEL yet, but it consistently gets ~10 misfires on a cylinder or two at idle before resetting. At times it has hit 25. I'm not sure what the threshold is before it throws a code, but I can clearly feel one miss after another until it's completely warmed up.

I'm resigned to it being an issue unless I get custom tuned.
