Default I don't know of one in Sac

Do it yourself. After the first 10sq ft, you'll feel like a pro. When in doubt, add some more. It's not that hard, but when it comes down to it (and you want it absolutely perfect) get in touch with a guy like ansen (audimods).

I plan on doing it myself, I enjoy it.

Does a complete install of this stuff add much weight to the car?

How do you install it *in* the doors? And/or not covering all the wires/motors/etc...

Default from what i've read, a typical full install (doors, trunk, spare well...) takes around 20-30sq ft

which will add 15-20 lbs to your car, depending on what product you use. Of course, you could use much more in your car which would increase weight.

Say you completely overkill the project and use 60+ sq ft. An additional 40lbs will NOT change your vehicles perceivable performance.

Default Yes, Ansen did a first-rate job. I've had many people in my S4 since and they say...

...my exhaust is not loud at all inside the car but from the outside, it's very loud. :-)

I tell them it's the Ansen/Dynamat Extreme mod and they are very impressed at the noise supression.

In addition, the stock Bose sounds much better too. The greatest improvement is mid-bass. Much crisper and cleaner. You'd be surprised. :-)

Thanks again to Ansen for the install. He's S4MadMan=Approved!

Default Ok - SO where is this stuff commonly installed (typical installation) in the car?

In the doors, back deck, anywhere else? How long does it take to do a typical installation for those who have paid to have it installed or DIY?

Default No more than 10-20 pounds if you did the ENTIRE car.

The reduction in cabin noise is worth it to me, as I'm not going to notice that extra weight.
