Default POLL: What kind of cable are you using with your ECUx?

Maybe I should upgrade to a Hex since it seems more people are having success with those compared to Key.

Default kinda on topic, what adapter works to convert a serial cable to usb?

is there additional software changes that need to be made as well?

seriously, someone needs to compile all this vag-com and ecux information into one place.

ECUx is serial friendly. Why do you want a serial->usb converter?

Default HEX

If it is the same machine that you were trying to emulate the serial port for lemmiwinks, I saw that ecux does the same with USB cables and maybe conflicts with both drivers. Try a different port for ecux cable... There is no difference between the key and hex as long as you are not using vag-com software, in fact, the key-com is a "cleaner" cable since it doesnt have the dongle that the hex has. Try to uninstal every usb/serial emulator you have and try installing ecux with a different port. I had to do it twice and APR took a while to email me the files, although I know there is a way around that.

Default I have 2 ports, 1 that has emulator and 1 that is regular USB.

I've tried the ECUx on both, no luck.

Default ok, that was the same problem with me

ecux comes with its own emulator which doesnt like the one used for lemmi. You know all that revo/apr thing... So I got around it with a third usb port. Try to uninstal (with the file provided in the zip) the lemmi emulator and reinstall ecux so its emulator takes over. Maybe lemmi wont mind using the ecux emmulator... For the 3rd port, I use a mini usb hub
