S4 / RS4 (B5 Platform) Discussion Discussion forum for the B5 Audi S4 & RS4 produced from 1998-2002

It is possible to detail four cars in a weekend. Here's proof (and what I think are some nice pics).

Default Depends, I learned after my first job that took 11 hours, that I want to see the car first.

If you're really interested, e-mail me. I'd rather not post online.

How long did each of those cars take you?

Both days, I had fun though. I'd feel less enthusiastic about detailing a Pinto.

Default Surprisingly, Silver turned out to be a PITA, mainly becaues it was hard to tell what areas I had

already done and if I removed all the polish/wax. That, and the end result is only so impressive because it doesn't exactly shine when clean. They did look good though.

Funny thing was this morning, I was finishing up the S4 which was parked right behind the Turbo (which was already done) and this guy walks up and says how beautiful the car looks. I think he's talking about the Turbo, but no, he was actually talking about the silver car, go figure. =)

Default Well, I don't jack the car up when I detail, if that's what your asking.

Seriously though, I used to tape off the seams, but I've found that one of the products that I use (P21S GEPC) takes off any left-over residue. Also, I've found it's faster to go over the seams with a towel and/or children's toothbrush after I'm done.
