Default Is it possible for an extreme force to allow air to escape from your tire?

Could a bump or a hard slide (impact or lateral forces) allow air to escape from a tire but leak no more. I had one go from 36psi to 15psi after a spin (don't ask). No damage to tire/wheel is visible. It's not leaking any additional air?
Just wondering.

Default Yes, you could momentarily dismount a section of one side of the tire, and it could then reseat with

the remaining pressure.

But it can't be good for the tire, and you risk running the rim on the pavement.
