is it possible to get a set of rims with a deeper lip for the rear of the B5?

you'll take a big hit on handling.
^^^ the above only applies if you stagger the tires, particurally if you put WIDER tires on the REAR. should you put wider tires on the front, you might see a marginal (but possibly unbalanced) improvement. ie: less understeer.
