A boost spike can occur if your backpressure is reduced significantly. My car was equipped with test pipes on apr stg2 software and had a vicious spike in my stock, 93 oct and 100 oct programs. When I got updated to stage 2+ software primarily to get rid of my CEL, I also noticed that my boost spike was completely gone. I can only assume that n75 duty cycle was changed to accomodate for a looser exhaust which makes your turbos spool up much faster.

I would suggest doing multiple 3rd gear pulls to make sure....
reason being, I've done back to back runs with varying boost curves i.e. actual being more than requested & vica versa. Doesn't look that off. What brand chip?
