Possible to remove the radio without the special tool? Trying to remove all the trim

Default I did this, too. PIA, but eventually worked. Key was to slide in, push out (but not all the way)
and wiggle, pull, repeat... PIA until everything is lined up, but it will work... eventually...

Default I believe Eric Fletcher claims he can do it with popsicle sticks.
I can't find the post, but you can't make this **** up.
