Default Is it possible for an RS4 to go 0-100km/h in 4.1.... MTM sure thinks so

For the original German Article click on the link below

The series version of the Audi RS4 can be ranked owing to its 380 HP and an acceleration by 0 to 100 km/h within 4.9 seconds in things performance such as Sprintvermoegen among automobiles Créme de la créme. Nevertheless, it was only one question of the time, until the first tuner the Biturbo Sechszylinders to assume and or other horse power in the depths of control electronics of the engine management would still be, in order to let from that to boliden RS4 a Furie become. We discovered two representatives of this type with MTM and Evotech: 422 HP with 6720/min and 560 Nm with 4400 / min Evotech indicates, as 420 HP for 6750 / min, combined as 550 Nm for 4400 routes counters MTM. impressing the sober numbers in such a way sounds, then fulminant, almost brachial the two combinations go in the reality to the thing. Already the elasticity values reflect the full torque of the candidates: Still in the 6.Gang it tears the Evotech of 60 to 120 km/h in 15,3 in the MTM is it only 13.8 seconds - an indication for the fact that the MTM unit probably is for the performance mentioned above average well in the fodder. Thus also both competitors show same paper securities quite different characters despite that approximately in the performance development. The Evotech reacts so sensitively to the instruction of the accelerotor pedal that the engine already already lightning-like upward turns the combination admittedly pleasantly, because throughout even, over which entire Drehzalbereich to over 7000/min pushes starting from 2000/min with extremely small pedal travel and. If this Spontanitaet may be quite welcome with a sport engine, then the heavy to be dosedness of the power, approximately on wet roads, becomes a deficiency. The values inspire nevertheless: In 4.4 seconds kept in track the Evotech owing to traction-promoting Quattro of drive on 100 km/h. Different on the other hand it the counterpart of MTM: Until 3500/min leaves itself the V6 to probably move, beyond that begins with the full structure of the load printing almost explosively the performance and catapults the Avant, starting from 5000/min accompanied from a beautifully full of seeds Sechszylinderfauchen, formally into the annals of the GUTEFAHRT measurements: Within more fullly 4.1 seconds the MTM 100 km/h label schnupft, with which it scratches surprisingly suspiciously at the magic 4 second label krazt, which so far only the Porsche 959 could undercut unique. Nothing the defiance, such engine performances want to be borne also by the chassis. Evotech sets on the series components and maintains thereby the successful compromise between comfort behavior and sporty hardness. MTM blocked around approximately 20 Milimeter shortened feathers/springs and pulls the 255/3ër series tyre on 9,5 J x18 - MTM rims, which improves Einlenkverhaltenund the guidance precision of the RS4 noticeably again, but rather for dehr sportily oriented drivers to recommend is. Only, on the poles position one is to both boliden in view of the power anyway already mic road performances: Maximum speed: 298 km/h Acceleration: 0 - 100 km/h 4.1 s 0 - 200 km/h 16,1s 80 - 120 km/h 2,8 s
