Twin turbo doesn't imply sequential AFAIK.

Default You can get to 300whp with stock turbos...

but you should expect that those strung out turbos won't last very long, so make sure you budget the cost of a turbo swap into this (and of course you'll get more power with the turbo swap...commensurate with the money you sink into this).

Default /\ /\ /\ what Raj said (kind of) ....

He is right, from the conservative view. It is not uncommon for our cars to behave the way he describes.

However, you may also be *lucky* and get one of the S4's that is strong. It seems to be reasonably accepted that some S4's are stronger than others. I'm guessing I am lucky to have one of those cars, as it has put down some (dyno) numbers that have given me a s**t eating grin more than once (much to the chagrin of stage 3-, stage 3 K04 cars). And stage 2 at 13.36 at 104 for a first time quarter-miler doesn't seem too shabby either.

Octane can always be your friend repeat after me ....

Default lol

And this whole time I was thinking the S4 used a sequential setup. Well everything makes like 50x more sense now

I knew this would happen. I promise myself I will not mess with the turbos because it will be expensive and involved...now everyone has be set on a 400hp turbo swapped beast. Guess it cant be avoided.

Default transmission?

How does the stock S4 trans hold up around the 300 and 400 whp levels, disregarding clutch cuz that is an easy fix? The WRX 5spd is made of glass, but the STi trans is a bullet-proof beast. If I need to start putting in different hardened gear-sets etc then I wont be getting the S4. Way to expensive going that route.

Default The tranny is tough. If you're not cleaning off the synchros every shift it's solid.

basically what the RS6 GT cars are running.

"biturbo" (said "bee-turbo") is the German word for "twin turbo". The car is German you know. :-P
