Default When i asked previously, I was told that...

the 1.8T (mine) which are manual, are missing a third rail for the motor,
but the 2.8s do match.

Default What 3rd rail?

I took my S4 seats out and could have sworn there are only two rails. All the motors are built into the seat itself. So if you just put the seat on the ground and plug it in you should be able to make all the adjustments. That leads me to believe you could swap the A4 / S4 seats. As long as there is a harness connector to plug them in.

No 3rd rail on the S4. I've had my seat out. All hardware is in the seat w/ 2 tracks.

No, the seats are different. I had a 98 A4, and the S4 seats are way nicer.

The S4 seats are much closer to the 'Sport Seats' option from the A4 (I had a 98 A4 with standard seats, my wife has the sports).

Also, the quality of the leather on the S4 seats in Onyx is much nicer than that that was on the A4 in Onyx.

Default Read this thread concerning Recaro brackets.

There is a difference between the A4 manual and S4 powered seat bracket.

However, I believe the A4 powered seats use the same mounting points as the S4 seats.

https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/565463.phtml

Default So basically... READ ME... ANSWER THIS ONE GUYS!

No one is for sure if the A4 and the S4 share the same hardware when mounting the power seats.

Let me clarify...

Can I stick my S4 seat in the A4, and vice versa... without any modification...
