The big issue was viscosity in the cold. It was all basically the same stuff.
So I don't think you have a problem.
But maybe put a flush on your "to do" list for the summer?

But basically, it is a closed loop system. You need to open the loop, drain the fluid from the reservoir, refill, then crank the engine for X seconds. You use something to catch the fluid being pumped out of the hose from the rack. Refill. Do again. Takes a couple times before the fluid coming out is clean and you've replaced everything in the rack. Reassemble. Fill. Done.
If you crank too long you suck air in to the system then you start again (though maybe you can use some of the clean fluid being pumped out).
When I did it I took the reservoir out and completely cleaned it inside including around the filter. It needed it.
If you aren't wasteful, expect to use 1.5 litres.
