works fine with K04s. Infact, I would bet the stock ECU will work pretty well with even K16s since the boost levels are so low and you're not exploiting the advantages of K04s, or even K16s in the high RPMs at higher boost levels.

seems a bit pricey for something over time that will wear off.
So, you paid $1000 more for turbos and got some boost in performance, over time, they will be like $2000 turbos and performance.
So, you rented some power...it would seem.
If the price was down to about $500 over K04s, and the longevity is proven...then you got something..otherwise, people with extra money in their pocket will be the only ones interested.
Invest that in suspension and driving courses, that will make you faster.

i would say approx. two years for the coatings to even approach the factory levels of efficiency. your right, it does cost money, but this is an extremely labor intensive process that has results for those wanting more than standard K04s can provide.

This is completely normal. Happened on my RS2 turbo before it went on the car. Tolerances are tight, but this is normal.
I agree with you on the shaft play, there should be little to none with a good turbo, however the blades do contact the housing somewhat upon first use.
