Why? 50K miles on an S4 suspension, and it begins to go soft. As far as I'm concerned, it's useful life ends at 50K unless you like that wonderful boat-like handling. S4 springs aren't set up properly for a 1.8T. He'll end up adding more understeer to his car than he already has, and his ride height will be even higher than he already has. The shocks may be of some use to him if he paired them with an aftermarket spring for the A4, however, as I already mentioned, the shocks are well worn.
