the one for a rs4 setup?
can you reuse your old throw out bearing or do you need to get a new one.
my buddy is think about just using his old one and going with the s4 disk (from our understanding the s4 and rs4 use the same disk, just the pp is the difference) and get a rs4 pressure plate. would this be a bad idea?

It is cheap and a wear item. Who wants to save a few dollars by putting back a used throw-out bearing only to have to pull it all out again to replace it? Or even worse, have it fail and screw something else up.

....worried about my ability to pull the engine for K04 install. Maybe I'm being overly concerned; I am about the most uptight person I know

Lining up the trans with engine (splins on the output shaft and the bell housing bolts) and getting those damned downpipes in and out are what really create the problem with just dropping the trans. So much easier with the engine out of the car, and it doesn't take too much more work to get it all out :-)
Although I'm no expert. This will be my frist engine pull. I've helped with them in the past, but never from start to finish.

was easier than pulling the motor. But that's just my take.
The key was that I didn't have to disconnect the downpipes or anything on the top of the motor.
