My S4 sat in the hot sun all day. I put down the front windows to air it out. When I put the front passenger side window up again, I noticed a bit of amber colored residue on the window. Hmmm, I thought,"Tree sap, I'll get it off later." Next day, window down, window up,and this time there is a black rectangular trim piece(looks like tar paper) stuck to the outer part of the window with a lot more of the amber residue- thick, sticky glue! Now I'm afraid to wash the car, in case water collects inside the door. Does anyone know if it's safe to wash the car before I get the trim repaired? Thanks.
