I keep getting this message trying to connect. I've used this on my Palm Tungsten dozens of times w/out problem. Cord is solidly connected at both ends. Green light is on until it tries to connect, then it turns red. I tried messing w/ the connection baud rates--no luck.
anyone btdt?

1. Ensure the pins on the OBD-II end of the cable are straight and of an even depth. (There will be 2 pins that are longer in the middle, that is ok)
2. Wiggle the Palm connector that attaches at the bottom of your Tungsten when it is trying to connect. See if anything happens.
Are you using the one piece changing cable or 2 piece serial/OBD-II cable?
