Default PSA: 2Bennett is *the* most incompetent shop I've ever had to deal with. Seriously

the stories of broken sh*t, misinformed statements, and shoddy work I've had to fix on other people's cars from them is too long to even think about writing. Hopefully I have a good enough reputation to not have to get into every single specific but jeezus.

SAC-CA-S4 has seen the same thing, as has one of the higher ups at a local Audi dealerships. Total hacks; you risk your car if you take it to them.

Default Thanks for the heads up on this - I was looking into getting an upgraded tip tranny from them.

Such a shame actually. That article on European Car a while ago made it sound that they were a good shop to deal with...

Default They're just very, very hit/miss. Sometimes on the ball, but I've found too many dumb

f**k statements, half-assed work, or other nonsense to not post this. If you talk to the Sacramento Audi people they'll tell you that I've felt this way for quite a while and kept it to myself.

I'd stick with a shop that will stand by their work and that you know has done a good job. That is just my 2 cents though and I've not worked with any of their tiptronic modded stuff.

Default I know, and I feel that Ken and Andrew are nice guys along with being *very* pro-Audi. That's

why I feel bad about this post. But seriously I'd even have safety concerns with taking a car there.

Default Unfortunately I agree. But they deserve credit for being some of the frist tuners...

I used to spend a lot of time up there with them. The brothers are very nice guys who love Audis and want to make them fast. But I know a couple urqs they messed up and pretty much told the owners that they were SOL. I would never take my car there to have work done unless I was stuck between SF and Tahoe and it was an emergency.

The SOL response is pretty common from what I've experienced with the cars I've had to fix.
