PSA: ECUX works now...
After many months of fussing and tweaking with my laptop APR was right: for some odd reason ECUX really doesn't like Ross Techs KEY-COM. I used a friends HEX-USB and whammo... lots of purty little lines. Now I get to make nifty graphs and be big baller like MarkP

PS. Anyone wanna trade a Key for a Hex? *&^%@ $179 to "upgrade" the cable....

And if you update your HEX-USB cable to the latest firmware, it might break again...
I would recommend the APR USB cable. It's simple, and it will always work.
I've even got it working on my MacBook Pro, (under Windows XP of course.)
Also working are:
VAG-COM (With HEX-USB)
APR EMCS/Home Programmer (With a Key-Span USB to Serial Adapter)
APR DPP (With APR USB Cable)

I'd try with the APR cable but I am a bit nervous as I also have a cheapy vag rip off cable and they said it should work find with that... But I supose for the $40 I could try it... SIGH.
