Default I didn't think the turbine made pressure. I thought piggies lessen the back pressure....

allowing the turbine to spool up faster, making the compressor create boost earlier.

think he was referring to pressure differential.

Default The turbine doesn't make pressure. The turbine spins with a pressure differential across it.

No pre-cats equals higher inlet pressure and therefore a higher delta P across the turbine.
