Question about apparent loss of low-end torque with aftermarket downpipes

I didn't think the turbine made pressure. I thought piggies lessen the back pressure....
allowing the turbine to spool up faster, making the compressor create boost earlier.

The turbine doesn't make pressure. The turbine spins with a pressure differential across it.
No pre-cats equals higher inlet pressure and therefore a higher delta P across the turbine.
